August 25, 2006 from L.S. : “Lovely place to sit and read the paper in the morning. The courtyard is great. The owners are sweet. Order the enormous bowl of oatmeal and you won’t be hungry all day.”

October 6, 2006 from MC: “Thank you for all you did…We cannot express enough about all the compliments we received regarding the food and your staff. [They] were so hospitable and readily served our guests with grace and kindness. Rarely do I attend a party where the guests compliment the servers as much as the food. Thank you again for doing above and beyond what was required to make our event so special.”

November 3, 2006 from N.C. : “I love this place…everyone there is nice and the food is nice and the food is good too. The Matt’s special is so good—brie and apples on your choice of bread (rye or squaw bread) the tomato bisque soup also makes you warm and fuzzy and calm. It’s a perfect place to go on a lazy Sunday afternoon.”

February 7, 2007 from F.E. : “Of all the places in Fullerton properly situated for partaking in the awesome pastime of brunch, Brownstone Café is my favorite. Brownstone is a quirky little dinette that has much more outdoor patio seating than indoor and is the kind of place where you immediately feel the need to become a regular. It’s homey, cozy, and there’s just something about it that makes you want to belong. The menu…really will have something to please every palate. Whether vegetarian, carnivore or vegan, you’ll be satisfied with your choices. The staff is polite, attentive without being intrusive, and quick to deliver. They seem to understand the sanctity of their establishment and, in turn, have no desire to ruin the magic for you. I’ve been here a few times and never has it been obscenely crowded or grossly over patronized. Maybe it’s my luck, but it further adds to the serene nature of a weekend breakfast to be surrounded merely by quiet, intimate whispers or the soft whooshing of newspaper pages. Stay a while, have more coffee/tea/juice. You’ll never be pushed along to finish, and since this place is so well-suited to conversation, you might as well get comfortable.”

May 11, 2007 from S.L. :“…I dropped it by this afternoon. I grabbed a Thai wrap while I was there and it was amazing as always!”

May 22, 2007 from B.S. : “I wanted to say what a pleasure it was to work with you and your team to make Bev’s birthday party a success. From beginning to end, not a problem. There were two guests attending who have done catering, and both had good things to say about the quality, presentation and the quantity of the food and service. We will not be your “best” customers in the future, but we will be among your best fans! Thanks again, neighbor!”

June 09, 2007 from M.K. : “My high school friends thoroughly enjoyed the lunch today. The food and setting were just perfect. Your staff was attentive and considerate of the fact that some of us had not seen each other for many years. Thank you for setting up the tables and making us so very comfortable.”

June 23, 2007 from J.B. : “I love the Brownstone Café. They have the best Tomato Basil Bisque that I have ever tasted. Their menu has a decent variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. The outdoor seating leads you to a charming courtyard with a small water feature in the center. A perfect way to spend a couple of hours. …the ambience is so laid back…They also have take-out, which I will use when I don’t have time to relax in the courtyard and they are pretty expedient about completing take-out orders.”

Wonderful…I could eat that every day of the week!”

February 21, 2002 Donald Lynn and Leon Anderson (Anderson, Lynn and Associates): “My congratulations to you ladies for providing an interesting, educational, and successful Fullerton Chamber of Commerce Mixer. This was the first time I have been in your facility and I was really impressed. I am familiar with many of your contributions to our community and I complement you on starting a project and follow through. I saw many members that I don’t happen to come in contact with very often. Also met some new ones (to me). As usual Brownstone did an outstanding presentation. Again congratulations and Thanks!”
