Soju is the best known liquor from Korea. It is distilled, vodka-like, rice liquor with high potency and often flavored similarly. It is smooth and clean in taste, which makes it easy to drink in combination with various dishes. Soju is clear-colored and typically varies in alcohol content from 10% to 25% proof. It was first known to have been distilled around 1300 A.D.
With only 1/2 the calories of most vodkas, Soju is the natural choice for calorie conscious consumers. Unlike Vodka, which demands extra flavors & sugars to mask its harsh taste, Soju has a smoother taste — from start to finish. It is specially crafted to be a flavor catalyst so it absorbs the flavor of fruits, mixers and other fresh ingredients and allows you to create your favorite vodka cocktails with half the calories and double the flavor.
Come in today and ask for Soju….
On behalf of the American Library Association Government Documents Rountable (ALA GODORT) I want to express our appreciation of Brownstone Catering’s wonderful service at our recent 40th Annual Awards Ceremony and Reception. Based on the comments I received regarding the event, it will be remembered for years to come as a grand success, in no small part due to the wonderful food you provided.
Reception planning, especially from long distance, can have its challenges, You went out of your way to help our Conference Committee co-chairs, work out all the details including the additional help in working through the liquor requirements so we could serve wine and beer. I know attendees were especially appreciative of that help! The great service continued to the event itself with the excellent service provided by Chanelle and Gabriel.
Thank you for all your work!

Since The Brownstone Cafe is located in the romantic Spanish themed Villa del Sol, we are always drawn to wedding design and inspiration that is inspired by a colonial Spanish theme. This wedding is so picturesque with the multi-colored mosaic candles and coasters, the large creamy white flowers, the fine gold accents and the decorated motif candels are so sublty sophisticated.
Do we even have to mention the brides dress? Full lace, complete with a cathedral veil.

Looks like Valentine’s Day resulted in many engagements and as a result we had double the amount of attendees at February’s event! The cafe was full of people talking excitedly about wedding details and plans, enjoying the food spread and taking in the joys of the evening. Guests spoiled their tasted buds with Creamy dill meatballs, fresh bruschetta, hearty beef wellingtons and hot crab dip and finished with a tasty cupcake from Patty’s Cakes.
We welcomed two new vendors at our event: Table7 Events, Inc. and Stella & Dot accessories. We are thrilled to have them part of our Wedding Wednesday line-up which includes: Lavender’s Flowers & Gifts, Patty’s Cakes & Desserts, Studio EMP, Allen’s Tuxedo Rentals, Wedding Guide Online, Alfred Angelos, All-Star Photo Booth, David Barber Productions, SoCal Shutterbooth and Body & Sole Comfort.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to all of our vendors who participated in February’s event.
Want to attend the next Wedding Wednesday? Its on March 28 and you can register here!
Interested in being a vendor? Inquire about openings by contacting Chanelle Williams at email@example.com. * We only allow one vendor from each category at each event

The city of Brea is hosting a bridal showcase this Saturday, January 28th from 11 am to 3 pm. Here you can feast your eyes (and your stomachs) on what the best wedding vendors in the O.C. have to offer. There will be food tasting, catering service samplings, decorations, door prizes, etc.
No need to spend endless hours on the computer searching for a cake decorator or a florist or caterer. The Brea Bridal Show brings the best to you in one location making it easy, convenient and fun!
If you attend, don’t forget to stop by our booth! We are going to have a lovely set-up and, of course, some free samples of some delicious food! Or you can just come by and say, “Hello!” We would love to see you!
Admission is only $6 and you can pre-register on their website. Don’t miss out on this wonderful event!
Along with catering for weddings, we also host events for baby showers, birthdays, office meetings, reunions, anniversary parties and much much more!
If you are planning a baby shower for a sibling or a friend and are looking for a cute theme to play off of, take a look at this baby shower that features owls!
It is too cute for words and the pictures speak for themselves. Many people use the baby zoo animals or other baby animals as a theme for a baby shower. The owl theme is unique and different compared to those. What is great about this theme as well is that it is relatively gender neutral so that it can be used for a baby boy or baby girl shower. Or even if the expecting couple choose to keep the gender a secret!

We are very excited for what’s in store for the new year.
Here, at the Brownstone Cafe, we have big plans for 2012 and we are looking forward to sharing them with you very soon!
Again, Happy New Year’s. Be Safe. Be Merry!
Here’s to you and all 2012 has to offer,
