Soju is the best known liquor from Korea. It is distilled, vodka-like, rice liquor with high potency and often flavored similarly. It is smooth and clean in taste, which makes it easy to drink in combination with various dishes. Soju is clear-colored and typically varies in alcohol content from 10% to 25% proof. It was first known to have been distilled around 1300 A.D.
With only 1/2 the calories of most vodkas, Soju is the natural choice for calorie conscious consumers. Unlike Vodka, which demands extra flavors & sugars to mask its harsh taste, Soju has a smoother taste — from start to finish. It is specially crafted to be a flavor catalyst so it absorbs the flavor of fruits, mixers and other fresh ingredients and allows you to create your favorite vodka cocktails with half the calories and double the flavor.
Come in today and ask for Soju….
Had their catering for Wedding Wednesday and it was phenomenal! First of all, they do all sorts of food. They served a variety of foods but the standouts were Meatballs: taste like Ikea meatballs!! & the bruschetta…the bread was amazing and perfectly toasted!! Their beef wellington is on the bland side but the standouts r totally worth a try!! I will def consider them for my next event!
Join the Brownstone Café for its Monthly Wedding Wednesday and Event showcase.
As the trees shutter the last chills of the winter cold, what better way to delight in the spring sun than with celebrating upcoming nuptials with a bridal shower, the anticipated birth of a friend’s baby, or spoiling your best friend on their birthday?
The showcase will allow you to sample Brownstone Café’s menu and services as you prepare for your next event or party. Brownstone Café will have other event vendors at the showcase, providing many resources for you in one location.
One of the vendors includes Patty’s Cakes, who is famous for her gorgeous wedding cakes, scrumptious cupcakes and trendy cake balls. Voted as “Bride’s Choice” for 2012, which is an award that recognizes a business based on its great reviews and being in the top 5 percent of wedding professionals from the WeddingWire Newtork.

Last night marked the official beginning of Wedding Wednesday 2011. At Brownstone, we don’t like doing things small. We went all out for our first Wedding Wednesday of the year with an “Elegant Bride” theme. The return of elegance and sophistication is making a comeback this year and we wanted to show our brides the best ways to keep things classy while putting their own personality into their wedding.
We had an amazing turnout of vendors and guests. Brea Community Center and the First Congregational Church of Anaheim were two venues that made it out to Downtown Fullerton to speak with brides about their event space.
Alfred Angelo and Allen’s Tuxedos, two WW regulars, showed their newest styles in wedding fashions. A very interesting thing about Alfred Angelo’s new line is that it was inspired by Disney Princesses. My favorite ones: the Belle and Ariel inspired wedding dresses.
Patty’s Cakes sampled her wedding cake flavors for guests and Lavender’s Flowers brought in beautiful white flowered arrangements. Other vendors that were able to make it out to our event are Quinto Sol Entertainment, Davis Barber Productions, Damion Lloyd Photography, Sunny Hills Travel and The Hep Kittens.
And of course, we can’t forget the food! Last night we served Beef Wellington Bites, Creamy Dill Meatballs, Asparagus with Prosciutto and Bruschetta with Sundried Tomatoes. The next Wedding Wednesday is scheduled for February 23. Stay tuned for details or email us for more information.
September’s Wedding Wednesday drew out a sizeable crowd despite the heat wave that has struck Southern California. The 100 degree weather didn’t discourage those soon-to-be-brides from meeting with the vendors that could help them plan the happiest day of their lives. This month, we featured a delicious menu that drew inspiration from Italy. There was an elegantly displayed buffet containing our Italian menu items of Assorted Mini Pizza Bites, Bruschetta, Caesar Salad, California Alfredo Pasta, Creamy Dill Meatballs and Sundried Tomato Pasta. For dessert, guests had the chance to sample delicious cakes from Patty Cakes who was showcasing different cake flavors such as chocolate, lemon, marble and red velvet.
There were seven other vendors in attendance this month too. Representatives from Alfred Angelo, Allen’s Tuxedos, Davis Barber Photography, Lavender’s Flowers and Gifts, Quinto Sol Entertainment, Studio EMP Photography and Make-Up by Marisa were available to speak to attendees and answer any questions that they had.
Brides, friends-of-brides, mothers, grandmothers and fiancées were in attendance. I actually had the opportunity to speak with a future mother-of-the-groom who’s future daughter-in-law doesn’t even know she’s going to be proposed to soon! She said she would have brought in the soon-to-be-bride if it wasn’t for the fact that the ring her son had ordered had sizing problems delaying him from the proposal. She was also telling me about her newly engaged daughter. She wanted to take advantage of the opportunity Wedding Wednesday presented her and wanted to be prepared for the weddings that would soon come to her. Suffice to say, she walked away with loads of information about Brownstone Catering and the other vendors in attendance. I’m sure she’s excited to pass on the information we were able to give her to her daughter and future daughter-in-law.
Brownstone Café and Catering will be hosting its last Wedding Wednesday of the year (Wedding Wednesday takes place on the last Wednesday of each month, January to October) on October 27. There are already 13 different vendors slated to attend. If you haven’t been able to attend a Wedding Wednesday yet, don’t miss your chance to come to the biggest Wedding Wednesday of the year!
